It's been a whirlwind of events and emotions lately as I continue to learn the intricacies of running a small business. There have been some extreme highs mixed with some extreme lows due to the COVID-19 outbreak happening at the launch of my shop, but there was some light shed during this scary and unprecedented time.
Voyage ATL reached out to me on behalf of a recommendation, to write an article about hidden gems around Atlanta. When I saw the email sitting in my inbox about an interview, I had a huge smile come across my face and I don't think it's left since. I've been working so incredibly hard on my business, and it didn't really hit me until this interview opportunity. The dedication of being a one-woman shop is harder and more time consuming than I even imagined, but I wouldn't give it up for the world.
It took a few years of working in the corporate world to realize I wasn't cut out for it, and I was beginning to feel so suffocated and lost in the monotony of sitting at a desk all day doing emails. And despite having always been creative and a busy-body, it feels a bit ironic that it took me this long to stumble into my flower passion! But I'm here now and I feel more at place than I ever have.
I'm so humbled by everyone's support and interest in my work. I seriously couldn't do it without you. My article is below if you want to read more:
